In March 2023 Reach Publishers officially turned 25 years old.
Unofficially, the concept and planning had already
begun in October 1997 but the organization was officially only registered in
March 1998. Little did owners, Sally Eichhorst (Veenman) and Warren Veenman, know that what had then started as a three-man show so many years ago, would grow from strength to strength and still be going strong over two and a half decades later.
The organisation was a dream come true for the owners who were living proof that self-publishing works as evidenced by the success of their own titles.
If they could do it, why not others and so it was that Reach Publishers took on the task of helping thousands of authors worldwide to professionally self-publish their books.
They have had to adapt to the changing landscape of publishing over the years seeing a shift more into digital and online media while maintaining a personal touch and relieving authors of most of the stress of publishing. Along with the rest of the world and country, they have suffered through recessions and covid, lockdowns and power outages and yet, all these setbacks, have simply given people more to write about and the organisation is thus still surviving and thriving, thanks to all its loyal authors, potential authors and those still writing with a dream to publish.
Good work on your publications
Congrats and well-done!
May there be countless more…
And thank you for having the guts to pursue “doing your own thing”.
